The real question is what the website needs to do.
A basic website can stay relatively affordable if the brief is focused, the page count is sensible and the content is straightforward. Costs rise when the site needs more bespoke design, more pages, more detailed service structure or technical functionality that goes beyond the essentials.
That is why one small business might only need a cleaner online presence, while another needs a stronger service hierarchy, lead-focused pages and a support setup after launch.
